Let's talk
Disaster Recovery Readiness Review

Know what could delay recovery.

A one-off review of how a critical business service would recover from a serious failure. We examine the systems, people and providers involved, then give you clear priorities for closing the gaps.

Best fit

When it helps

When you need to understand what recovery depends on, or check whether your existing plan holds together.

  • Backups exist. The recovery path is unclear.

You have backups, but getting the business working again involves more than restoring the data.

    • Review existing backup and restore evidence.
    • Trace what else must work before service can resume.
    • Identify missing steps and assumptions that need testing.
  • The plan is written. Would it work in practice?

Recovery steps are documented, but the people involved have not worked through them together.

    • Walk through an agreed failure scenario with your team.
    • Check the order of steps, decisions and handovers.
    • Separate what is supported by evidence from what remains untested.
  • Recovery depends on someone being available

Important knowledge, access or decisions sit with a few people or an external provider.

    • Review who can access systems and authorize recovery.
    • Check provider contacts, commitments and dependencies.
    • Recommend alternatives where one unavailable person could delay recovery.
  • Your setup has changed since the plan was written

New systems, providers or business demands may have changed what you need to recover and how quickly.

    • Compare current dependencies with the existing plan.
    • Revisit recovery priorities with the people responsible.
    • Prioritize gaps introduced by the changes.
Scope & deliverables

See the gaps across the recovery process.

We focus on one agreed business service, from the systems it needs to the people who would bring it back.

  • The systems, connections and providers the service depends on.
  • Existing recovery plans, instructions and available test results.
  • Access, responsibilities and decisions needed during recovery.
  • The proposed recovery sequence and checks before work resumes.

Process

How it works

We coordinate the review and bring the findings together, building on the plans and evidence you already have.

  1. Agree the service and priorities

We discuss the business service, the disruption you need to prepare for and your existing recovery priorities. We agree the scope, people involved, price and timing before starting.

  2. Review the arrangements

We coordinate records and conversations with your team or providers, reviewing dependencies, access and existing recovery evidence. We can start with incomplete documentation and make the gaps clear.

  3. Work through a failure scenario

With the people involved, we work through what would happen, who would act and what each step needs. This is a structured walkthrough, with no live restore or failover test.

  4. Set out the next steps

We explain the findings, evidence limits and priorities, including what needs further testing. You can act on the plan with us, your team or another provider.
